A flood of memory is revealed when childhood friends reconnect for an instant in racially segregated Philadelphia. Performers Audrey Pernell and Felicia Leicht create two characters based on their own lives, one Black and one Italian, who are in conflict with one another despite their common experiences. Recitatif is told through poetry, song, movement and spoken word, as these two racially ambiguous women attempt to understand themselves and define the other. Directed by Adrienne Mackey.
